North Sound Emergency Medicine Chooses LYNX Medical Systems Professional Coding Services
LYNX coding and reimbursement expertise, coupled with LYNX automated information technology and reporting capabilities, are instrumental in selection process
May 24, 2004—Bellevue, WA—North Sound Emergency Medicine (NSEM) has partnered with LYNX Medical Systems and Emergency Physician Billing Services (EPBS), a LYNX exclusive partner, to provide professional coding and billing services. The agreement was signed in the second quarter of 2004.
NSEM chose the LYNX/EPBS solution for their depth of experience in documentation, coding, reimbursement and practice management solutions. LYNX will complete documentation, reconciliation and communication with physicians regarding documentation feedback and will provide coding services. EPBS will review payer contracts, fee schedules, perform billing functions and provide AR management. LYNX will utilize the their suite of healthcare information management software to support the entire front-end process. The robust reporting capabilities of the LYNX information software suite and the EPBS solution will provide a wealth of practice management information for NSEM.
This solution is expected to reduce the days from visit to bill drop by employing the LYNX software to manage and reconcile documentation close to point of service. LYNX expert coding specialists will utilize LYNX E/Code software to view on-line records and accurately capture appropriate charges. Utilizing the E/code software, LYNX creates an automatic audit trail which tracks the coding, promotes compliance and supports detailed reports for documentation feedback. NSEM will have access to LYNX applications to view documentation, review and respond to feedback by coding specialists, and run reports and queries.
“Aside from LYNX long history of experience, their reporting capabilities were among the primary reasons for our selection,” said Liam T. Yore, M.D. of North Sound Emergency Medicine. “As our partner, LYNX will help us better align our business.”
“We’re looking forward to collaborating with this premier physicians group,” said Chris Martin, president of LYNX Coding Services. “North Sound Emergency Medicine and LYNX share a similar history of providing quality service by focusing on the needs of the client.”
