LYNX Medical Systems Delivers Record First Quarter Software Implementations

LYNX heightens momentum of client installations of patient documentation and recenue management software solutions

May 10, 2005 —Bellevue, WA—LYNX Medical Systems today announced that 2005 First Quarter software product implementations exceeded forecast. The rate of software installations surpassed an average of one client install per week. This accelerated pace has lead to successful LYNX patient documentation and revenue management software implementations at numerous health systems.

LYNX Q1 client implementations included Yale-New Haven Main Emergency Department and Pediatrics, four Provena Health System sites, St. Barnabas Health System's Newark-Beth Israel Medical Center, Partners Health System in Massachusetts and Children’s Hospital of Alabama. The momentum of patient documentation and revenue management software implementations is expected to continue beyond Quarter Two.

Of the LYNX software delivered in Q1, LYNX E/Point emergency department facility charging tool was implemented most often. This online facility charging software objectively and accurately calculates and assigns charges based on patient acuity. LYNX E/Point software produces a visit level distribution that accurately aligns patient acuity mix and resource use.

Many of Q1 E/Point client installs were a result of the LYNX E/Point Trial. This software trial includes a free, no risk, no obligation download of the software for 30 days and a comprehensive pre- and post-E/Point analysis. For more information on LYNX E/Point Trial offer or to register for the trial, visit www.lynxmed.com.

“The velocity of Q1 software implementations has been amazing,” said Mike DeTolla, president of LYNX Medical Systems Software. “The sheer number of installs during this time frame, coupled with the focus on E/Point, is staggering. Once a client tries E/Point, the results speak for itself so the natural progression is to employ the full version. It’s really gratifying to make a positive difference at a health system with this facility charging software tool.”

Other Emergency Department (ED) and Health Information Management (HIM) software products regularly implemented in Q1 included LYNX E/Map patient tracking and clinical documentation, E/Code CPT & ICD-9 code assignment and M/View online remote record access. These software modules, can be applied individually or as a comprehensive suite for complete documentation management, storage, distribution and secure electronic record access.
