LYNX Medical Systems and MITEM Partner to Deliver Integrated Emergency Department Solution

Joint effort to focus on the MEDITECH platform

May 31, 2005 —Bellevue, WA—LYNX Medical Systems and MITEM Corporation, a provider of legacy integration software and clinical applications, today announced they have entered into a strategic alliance. LYNX Medical Systems and MITEM will provide health care organizations with a joint solution that streamlines and manages emergency department encounter documentation and updates procedures and charge codes in real-time to the MEDITECH system.

In the healthcare market, MITEM Corporation currently provides MEDITECH hospitals with two product offerings, Blue Iris Connect and the Blue Iris MD Expansion Pack- a clinical portal. Blue Iris Connect integrates physician office EMR’s with MEDITECH MAGIC and enables the automation of lab orders and results reporting. The MD Expansion Pack is a read/write portal for the MAGIC systems that presents patient data in a progress note format. All Blue Iris products are built on MITEM’s patented integration engine that provides real time, bi-directional access to hospital information systems.

LYNX Medical Systems suite of software and services assists hospitals and health systems deliver quality patient care while managing revenue.
