St. Peter’s Hospital Chooses the LYNX Medical Systems Emergency Department Outpatient CPT & ICD-9 Coding Solution
LYNX E/Code will streamline workflows and reduce costs in outpatient coding for prestigious New York hospital
September 13, 2006—Bellevue, WA—LYNX Medical Systems (LYNX), the leading provider of emergency medicine documentation and revenue management solutions, today announced that an agreement had been reached with St. Peter’s Health Care Services to implement LYNX E/Code outpatient coding software. This is the third Catholic Health East site to employ LYNX software.
LYNX E/Code professional CPT and ICD-9 code assignment software will assist St. Peter’s Hospital coding staff to capture appropriate charges. This software also employs LYNX proprietary outpatient facility charging algorithm, which produces a visit level distribution and revenue that accurately reflects patient acuity mix and resource utilization in the ED. E/Code promotes compliance as code assignment is based on patient acuity and available documentation. The software streamlines workflows and improves coding throughput with centralized management of coding work queues with simultaneous online record viewing and coding. E/Code also creates an automatic audit trail which tracks the coding process.
