LYNX E/Point Online will aid prominent health system to better align Emergency Department resource use and hospital facility charging
October 25, 2006—Bellevue, WA—LYNX Medical Systems (LYNX), the leading provider of emergency medicine documentation and revenue management solutions, today announced that an agreement had been reached with West Penn Allegheny Health System (WPAHS) to implement LYNX E/Point Online outpatient facility charging software.
E/Point Online is a standalone browser-based outpatient facility charging application that will allow WPAHS ED staff to record work performed during patient care. The software employs LYNX proprietary outpatient facility charging algorithm, which produces a visit level distribution and revenue that accurately reflects patient acuity mix and resource utilization in the ED. E/Point Online automatically calculates the visit level for consistent, compliant and complete E/M charge assignment.
“West Penn Allegheny Health System has a rich history of improving health care through excellence,” said Gene Cattarina, president and CEO of LYNX Medical Systems. “We are extremely proud to be partnering with this well renowned health care institution.”
