Grundy County Memorial Hospital Chooses LYNX Medical Systems’ Emergency Department Patient Clinical Documentation Software

County hospital streamlines workflows while enhancing patient care

March 27, 2007—Bellevue, WA—LYNX Medical Systems (LYNX), the leading provider of emergency medicine documentation and revenue management solutions, today announced that an agreement had been reached with Grundy County Memorial Hospital (Grundy) for LYNX E/Map Emergency Department (ED) patient tracking and clinical documentation software.

“Summa Health System is recognized nationally for providing the highest quality care to our community,” said Kevin Theiss, director of Patient Financial Services at Summa. “LYNX E/Point will help us further streamline ED workflows to ensure our patients receive optimal, compassionate access to the best health care available. Plus, E/Point will improve compliance and the accuracy of patient facility charging.”

“We continually strive to provide the highest quality of patient care,” stated Elizabeth Ash, Emergency Department director at Grundy County Memorial Hospital. “Where time is of the essence, E/Map will provide our ED nurses and physicians immediate online access to patient records to assist in the emergent care process. Plus, LYNX’s clinical content and patient templates will help in streamlining our ED.”

LYNX E/Map patient tracking and clinical documentation application will enable Grundy to automate ED patient records while enhancing patient care. At the point of care, ED physicians will have access to the LYNX clinical knowledgebase which dynamically generates templates based on the patient’s presenting problem, age and gender. Clinicians will have immediate access to previous patient ED records to assist in patient care. E/Map will help Grundy accurately record each patient encounter while streamlining workflows in the ED.
